Proud wife and mother of two beautiful, smart, loving daughters .My family comes first in my life. I learned at a very young age you are not guaranteed tomorrow so don't take your family for granted!!!! I love to do ALL kinds of sewing. I love teaching and sharing the art of sewing/quilting. I feel everyone can learn something new everyday, My Momma always said "The day you stop learning is the day you die." I truly believe that.

About Me
Loving in Pender county for about 5 years now and loving it! Happily married, love dogs and all other animals. Just need more time to quilt! Always wanted to learn to quilt, never sewn before, so I bought a sewing machine and tried it. Then, I took a few classes and actually learned how to do it LOL!!! My only regret is that I didn't start quilting earlier in life, there are so many more quilts that I could have done!

About Me
I am a Registered Nurse who had to leave my 40+ years of nursing due to degenative joint disease Currently retired after having bilateral knee replacement surgeries done in 2009 and not being able to return to my nursing position. Now I am awaiting more joint replacement surgeries to left hip and both shoulders. When I am done with these I will be the "Bionic Woman." Currently I am a member of the Carolina Pine Needle Quilters Guild and enjoying reconnecting to my love of creating quilts for people. Also enjoy reading, watching/rewatching movies/TV shows esp. Harry Potter series, socializing with family and friends via internet, and traveling. I am also a member of a special on-line group who are making a Harry Potter Bookcase quilt. The technique is paper piecing. Our group is over 1100 strong and we are a unique group of men and women (mostly women) who have nothing but praise and support for each other. Very creative and loves to share their ideas. Each quilt will be different because of the choice of fabrics and how we put the blocks and final quilt together. Also many people are adding personal ideas to the quilt ie family photos. If you think you might be interested in joining us go to Project of Doom group on Facebook and ask to be added also check out Fandomofstitches.com. There are lots of wonderful paper piecing FREE patterns on other Fantasy themes besides Harry Potter of which Dr. Who and the Princess Bride are a few. Jennifer Ofenstein is the creator of this group and many of the patterns. She is wonderful as a person and a teacher. If you've never done paper piecing Jennifer has a great Paper Piecing Tutorial to help you. This is a 30 week session but you can jump in anytime as we all our working at our own paces and while this is week 25 many are just now finding us and getting started. New patterns come out every Wednesday.

About Me
I've been quilting for many years and it takes me awhile to finish a quilt. I love fabric and I love all kinds of designs and colors. I enjoy doing the old designs with new fabric designs, but I also like retro designs. We moved here to be close to our oldest grandkids and we have two little ones out in Calif. I love old stuff and have collected a number of family pieces. I totally love Christmas and had a Christmas decorated house for 20 years. I'm still working on getting my house in order since moving here and don't know if I'll do that again, but I'll for sure have a few Christmas things out. Other interests include getting out in out travel trailer and going somewhere; I love reading and hope to find a reading group; I love gardening but may not in the summer heat; I sang with a Sweet Adelines group in Alaska and Washington; and sang in a community choir for 18 years. Music is very important to me. Enjoy having friends and hope to make some in my new community. Guess this is enough.

About Me
I have lived in Jacksonville since 1999 when my job with Base schools brought me here from Germany. I have been surrounded with sewing and quilting most of my life through my mom and other family members. We all love fabric stores and finding the newest items to make. Quilting is a way for me to be creative in a meaningful way. I do love the challenge of designing a quilt and putting it together. I have become a blog reader and devour a multitude of quilting blogs. My favorites right now are Bonnie Hunter, Tula Pink, and Moda.
